I am Shimave-Asa David Terngu, a dedicated professional working at the intersection of financial integrity, advanced technology, and sustainable development. With a robust academic foundation—holding a B.Sc. in Accounting and a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence—I am passionate about leveraging data and governance to drive organizational excellence.
​My professional journey is defined by a commitment to operational efficiency and systemic transparency. Currently, I serve as the Operational Manager and Auditor at Safeworld Empowerment Development Initiative (SWEDIWORLD), where I oversee critical processes that ensure our mission-driven work remains compliant and effective.
​My expertise is anchored in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), complemented by my certification in ISO/IEC 27001:2022 (Information Security Management Systems). Through my previous tenures as an Audit Development Intern at Nexia Nigeria and simulated internship roles at PwC (Audit) and EY (Risk Technology), I have cultivated a deep understanding of risk mitigation in complex environments. Furthermore, my time with Vista Equity Partners in their “AI in Action” program deepened my commitment to integrating intelligence-driven solutions into modern business practices.
​Beyond my corporate and technical work, I am a firm believer in community leadership. As an Alumni of the Aspire Institute by Harvard University and an active member of the International Model United Nations (IMUN) and the YALI Network, I am dedicated to anti-corruption advocacy and sustainable development, as evidenced by my research with UNITAR.
